Liya Tamrat is a Junior Legal Associate with Dadimos & Partners, where she specializes in corporate and investment law. Prior to her current role, she served as a Junior Legal Associate at Mesfin Tafesse & Associates Law Office. In her current position, Liya supports the team by conducting comprehensive legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with client consultations.. She has assisted clients in successful  M&A transactions, ensuring they navigate these processes smoothly. Additionally, Liya’s internship at Mekdes and Associate has deepened her understanding of investment, energy, and PPP sectors in Ethiopia. She conducted a legal pre-feasibility study for a mini-grid project, demonstrating her advanced skills in legal analysis and writing.

Beyond her legal career, Liya is a dedicated advocate for social justice. As a member of the Yellow Movement and YWCA Ethiopia, she actively works towards gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Liya graduated with an LL.B degree from Addis Ababa University with Great Distinction.
